We have all been hit hard with Covid-19 but I truly feel for all the couples who have had to change, postpone or cancel their weddings.
The recommendations that have been made when it comes to weddings is the following : according to the guidance on B.C. Centre for Disease Control website "wedding ceremonies need to consist of no more than five people." including the couple, officiant and two witnesses. Did you know that your photographer can also act as your witness? 🙂 I do think these numbers will change based on what I am seeing some venues offer (see below)
It is heartbreaking but there is an opportunity to make it a truly memorable unique day and there are various places who are accommodating or offering smaller unique opportunities. Here are a few and I will update this list as I come across more:
1. Micro-Weddings at Vancouver City Hall
Starting in May 2020 you may book a physical distance micro-wedding ceremony at City Hall as part of a pilot program.
Location available is outdoors on Helena Gutteridge Plaza, including physical distancing decals for up to 10 people maximum to safely attend.

2. Haztic Meadows Wedding Site
they are offering couples who have had to cancel their wedding an elopement special for $300 on their property - 10 people total, proof of cancelled wedding this year required - no reception is available. chairs and arch provided
3. your own backyard 🙂
no better place to say your I do's than the place you call home, the place we have all been encouraged to stay and be safe the past few months feels like a very magical place to celebrate your love 🙂
4. Barn Up the Hill
They have a few open dates left for 2020 for anyone needing a venue for their small wedding or reception in the Okanagan
