So many creative images for the theme of ‘Abandoned’ I really loved the variety that you all captured. Check them out 🙂
Week 10 of the 52 week photo challenge is Reflections. This photo was shot at White Pine Beach in British Columbia Canada on a beautiful sunny day. This was my first time visiting White Pine Beach and I was in awe of all the beauty that is literally at my footstep. My husband and I ended walking Sasamat Lake Loop which is a 3.2 KM trail. The trail is beautiful and the water was so calm and clear. I am hoping to do a series of the reflections I took this day as I couldn’t help myself.
The theme of reflections also has a lot of room for creativity so don’t feel limited by water, think buildings, mirrors etc
Some tips for when I shoot outside I set my camera on aperture and for landscapes this is usually at f8 or f11. If shooting water reflections look for calm water. This particular image was shot using an HDR technique (combining 3 different exposure) on aperture setting, with a self timer. I edited the photo using photomatix pro (a hdr program) and lightroom.
I am actually heading to the Dominican this weekend and will be away for the next couple of weekends so I will post the 2 challenges this Friday before I leave.
Happy shooting everyone 🙂
