I was recently reminded about a vision or an idea I had back in my Uni days and realized through the craziness of life that I lost the dream a little. The idea of TLC started with my love of Patch Adams - I wanted to find a way to use play & creativity to incorporate change and that resulted in a vision I had shared amongst others a little thing called TLC. I had a dream of opening up my own centre or services one day - I wanted to offer TLC (tender loving care) for families & . . .
Adventure Awaits was a definitely the theme to this wedding couple and I had the absolute best adventure capturing the magic of their day, they picked the best spots to capture photos that really rang true to them including the firehall and brewery :) Thanks to Moody Ales for accommodating us :) and At The Beach retreat for the perfect spot for our First look photos. Dress The Bridal Gallery Flowers by Bridal . . .
I love the fact she gets lost in photography just as much as I do. I love seeing the excitement in her face as she runs towards me to show her latest creation. I love how her face lights up in so much pride as we look back at the photos she has taken. It's pretty amazing watching this little one explore the world of photography and I have been blown away by some of the images she has taken. Take a look . . .
My little love you are not so little anymore but to me you will be FOUR ever YOUNG. You have reminded me this year through your actions to enjoy the simplest most beautiful things: you have the cutest ability to bring everyone together through your kumbaya ways - you are able to connect people through the most sweetest, gentle attitude & approach, it truly is special and amazing and I hope you don't ever lose that - we live in a crazy world full of conflict and disconnectedness so . . .
I have been playing a lot of catch up lately. One on the 'to do' list is to go back and make photo books for my little love for each year of her life. I completed the first one but haven't done one since, hence the inspiration for this post 'Best of 2017' personal post . . .
Every year for my little love's birthday we head down to our favorite secret beach and take her birthday photos with fun balloons. The pictures are than used to write her a letter. This letter is usually based on the last year, memories and moments, things I learnt along the way etc. This year I wanted to do something a little bit different, I wanted to write her a letter as if it was a year from this date so really her 4th birthday Lolo or others for that matter might be thinking . . .
This year has been non-stop - maternity, families and kids so many beautiful moments, sweet adorable moments that just bring the biggest smile to my face. Here a few of my favs from this past year. Thanks everyone for letting me capture moments in your life xo . . .
Oh Lolo, my little monkey, I don't even know where to begin. The thought of you turning 2 fills my heart with so many different emotions. We went through a lot this past year and at times it feel likes a blur and it definitely feels like it went by in a blink of an eye but through it all you and I have continued to become a team. You are the best snuggler around (I call it the Koala bear embrace) , your smile lights up a room and you are a curious little adventurer whose eyes just become so . . .
I had a moment the other day, my first moment of realization with you of how fast time flies by. I looked at you and realized wow you are about to turn 12 months old, when did that happen? How can I put into words what this year has meant to me, or what it means to be your mom? These past 12 months have seriously been the most amazing, exhausting, rewarding and challenging times of my life. I love our moments and experiences. I love your energy and your cheekiness which just oozes . . .
